It has long been a dream at The Emily Post Institute to build what we call the Etipedia®, a comprehensive, searchable, online etiquette reference to supplement our flagship book,  Etiquette. Well, here it is! The Etipedia® is our encyclopedia of etiquette, housing content from all of our published Emily Post Institute materials: books, surveys, videos, podcasts, magazine columns and online articles. Whether you need an etiquette answer or just want to explore a topic, your search starts here.

There are two easy ways to use the Etipedia®:

1. You can search the Etipedia® using keywords or phrases just as you would with Google:
  • Type your search terms in the search box at the top of the page and hit return, or

  • Click the search link in the Etipedia® menu on the left hand side of this page.

2. You can browse the Etipedia® using the content tabs. All of the information in the Etipedia® is organized into sections and sub-sections that are identical to the chapters and sub-chapters in Etiquette, 18th edition (pub date Fall 2011).

  • Click one of the content areas to the left to browse and choose from the sub-categories.
  • Choose a sub-category of interest to view Etipedia® articles pertaining to that topic.

Please, give it a try!
