Evites are practical, thrifty, and green. And if those were the only criteria for sending wedding invitations, that would be the end of the story. But wedding invitation is the first signal a guest has of the wedding to come, and sets the tone for this special day in a way that email just can't. Displayed on refrigerators and mantel pieces, they also act as reminders and help to build anticipation. Lastly, many guests treasure them as keepsakes. On the plus side, their immediacy is perfect for weddings arranged on the fly, when there isn't time to design, print, and mail paper invitations. And their fun factor and convenience makes them great for a wedding shower, bachelor or bachelorette party, bridesmaids' luncheon, or groomsmen's dinner.
