Welcome to Emily Post Wedding Stories, where each week, host Lizzie Post, co-president at the Emily Post Institute (and Emily's great-great-granddaughter), talks with married couples about how they planned their wedding, what they think looking back, and what advice they have for couples planning today. This podcast was born out of research interviews from our upcoming book, Emily Post's Wedding Etiquette, due out in February of 2027. Lizzie Post interviewed couples from all kinds of backgrounds and experiences who hosted their weddings anywhere from a few months before the interview to 20+ years ago to gain a broader perspective on what the wedding planning process and the big day are really like. She came away from each interview feeling not only filled with love and appreciation for the couple's story, but also inspired by their approach and personal choices around family, budget, party and hosting style, and entertainment, all of which made their big day special and unique to them. These stories were too good not to be shared, and we're ready to share even more!
